Techni Process North America provides start-up services as well as design and build for small scale plants and industrial scale plants

Spray Drying Technologies

Spray drying technologies consist of the evaporation of moisture from the droplets of feed resulting in the formation of dried particles under controlled temperatures and airflow conditions within the tower or holding system from which the resulting dried particles are discharged from the drying machine at an appropriate collection area.

The required size, consistency and make up of each dried particle will be in accordance with the industry requirements and any specific needs of the individual client. Techni Process provide the ability to produce end products in a manner that fulfills the legal requirements of the Food and Pharmaceutical industries relevant to the end product.

Techni Process NA offers two types of the dryers:
SD – Simple Stage Dryer
Multi Phase Dryer

The type of the dryer suitable for your project and product will depend on the application with the majority of powders being produced on SD dryers but products which are hard to handle, sticky, hygroscopic or very sensitive to heat will require a Multi Phase Dryer.

Techni Process NA supplies spray dryers in two different families:
Pilot Plants (0-200 kg/h of evaporation)
Industrial Plants (over 200 kg/h of evaporation)

Spray Dryers are big by its nature, therefore it is extremely important to consider all factors impacting the size of the drying chamber during the design. Very often your product will dictate the right conditions for drying. Pilot Plants allow gaining the valuable information and drying experience with new product before investing into full scale industrial installation.

Suitable example uses of Spray Dryer technology are:
Granulate or agglomerate particle form from liquid feedstocks
Continuous production of dry solids in powder
